The law says that in a democratic country it is the inborn right of every person to share his personal opinion about his countrys government or his company in which he is working. Therefore, if an employee shares his views against his current company on the social media, legally the company cannot take any step although unofficially the management might plan punitive measures. It is not considered to be a fair practice in Australia to judge an employee or a candidate to be selected on the basis of his social media attributes (OSullivan, 2013). The organizational management however have separate views of this strategy. They argue that the modern organizations work in an extremely competitive market dynamics where they are in constant state of rivalry with one another. Therefore, it is very important to recruit the right employees for the right job positions or else the companies will have to face severe consequences in terms of huge investments wasted on the wrong candidates. Therefore, they justify the viewing of the social media profiles of their employees and candidates those might be selected in order to gather information on their whereabouts, lifestyle, attitude, likes and dislikes. In this issue, the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) designed few codes of conducts for the HR personnel in the various organizations. This Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct was developed in the year 2006. The objective of this code is to ensure that the HR personnel in the organizations observe the fair and ethical practices of recruitment and selection, training and development, designing compensation strategies, performance appraisal methods of employees, termination of employees and several other HR policies (Vuori, 1997). The code of conduct clearly sets out certain ethical guidelines those must be observed by the HR personnel at every stage of their operations. If any organization goes against these codes for performing any HR related operations on the employees, then the employees have the legal right to file case against the company in the court of law. The court will look into the matter and if substantial evidence can be gathered where there was instance of breach of code of ethics by the HR then the court in all likelihood will issue punitive measures to the company and the employee might claim for compensation and damages. As per the guidelines of the codes, it is unethical on the part of HRM to spy on the social media accounts of their employees or to tamper with the personal data. The guidelines also suggest that the employees are one of the most important human assets of the organization and they should always be treated ethically. It is important for the HRM to design organizational policies in such ways as to ensure the well being of the employees (Roth, 2013). In the opinion of Hammonds, an HR critique who conducted a survey on the Hay Group which is an HR consultancy company in 2007, as per the collected data, the majority of the employees of the organization were of the opinion that the HR management implemented the unfair practices of performance appraisal. The majority of the employees were also of the opinion that the management was not sensitive to the wellbeing of the employees. In the opinion of Kochan, the modern HRM has always endeavoured to be a holistic ethical system in the domain of the employee recruitment and retention. But, the system has failed to do so owing to the several unethical issues those have been adopted from time to time by the HR personnel. The HR department of many of the organizations are resorting to biases in selection, compensation and retention procedures that has caused employee dissatisfaction and diverted the HRM process from being considered as a completely ethical approach (Jeanquart, 2011). The Facebook is considered to be the most popularly used social networking site all over the world. Through the social networking sites the people are found to be sharing their personal information in Facebook and other social networking sites which could be accessed by the public. The young generation employees are sharing trivial details about their personal and professional lives over the social networking sites and this is one of the main causes of the privacy issues for the people. It could be said that through the social networking sites nothing is now personal because of the sharing patterns of the users (Dagliano, 2016). The rhetorical questions ‘what are you looking at? , What are you laughing at? , What are you going to do about it? ’ used in Weapons Training are said in an aggressive tone, clearly used to bully its audience. Saying it in an aggressive tone provokes fear through the audience manipulating them into supporting the use of weapons. Although it is an issue one might usually not choose to support, the fact that it is said in such an intimidating tone encourages the listener to support it due to the fear of what the consequences might be if they don’t support what the speaker is promoting. The author also uses repetition of the word â€Å"dead† this is clearly directed towards the soldiers in order to emphasise the officer’s message. This is a form of teaching the soldiers to hate, fear and listen to authority in order for them not to die needlessly. This speech comes from a satire comedy of Nazi Germany and Adolf Hitler in which Charlie Chaplin has re-worded Hitler’s speech and instead of saying â€Å"I† all the time he uses â€Å"we† which completely changes the meaning of the speech. We all want to help one another†¦ We all want to live by each other’s happiness†¦ We don’t want to hate and despise one another† this is a form of Inclusive language, which Charlie Chaplin has used in his speech, as it’s a very adequate technique with a very influential meaning, which also allows the audience to feel included. C harlie Chaplin has also used the technique of accumulation: â€Å"Greed has poisoned men’s souls, has barricaded the world with hate; has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed† this technique it’s considered to be a very powerful way to demonstrate what greed has not only done to humans but to this world. It refers to how negative images in the media and society affect our youth today. The negativity is what influences young minds today, and is blamed as the result for many acts of crime by young people. The Black Eyed Peas use the repetition of the phrase â€Å"where is the love? to emphasise the message they are trying to deliver through this song, which is asking the audience where the love has gone. It is well known that repetition is a tool of manipulation, which is what they have tried to do through the lyrics. Lastly there’s the use of rhyme. Rhyme is a technique that is used several times through out this song. An example is â€Å"But if you only have love for your own race, then you only have space t o discriminate and to discriminate only generates hate†. This is also known as college probation, probation, or a probation warning but is different than academic probation. Schools often let students or student organizations on disciplinary probation remain at the school during a probationary period, as opposed to suspending or expelling them. How to Respond to Probation If youve been placed on probation, its important to be very clear on 1) what caused your probation, 2) how long your probation will last, 3) what you need to do to get off of probation, and 4) what happens if you break your probation rules. Ideally, your school will provide all this information when your school notifies you about being placed on probation, as well as whom to contact with any questions. Additionally, its important to make sure you find positive support systems and stay away from situations that might, even by chance, lead you to a probation violation. Disciplinary probation often requires students to remain free from any kind of disciplinary trouble during a predetermined time period. For example, a student on probation for violating residence hall rules must not have any other disciplinary problems in the hall. If that student violates their probation, they may face more severe consequences, like suspension or expulsion, which can hinder progress toward graduation. In the case of an organization on probation, the school may further restrict its activities, cut off its funding, or force it to disband if the group violates probation. Probationary periods can be anything from a few weeks to an entire semester or academic year. Impact on Transcripts Policies vary by school, but your disciplinary probation could show up on your transcript. As a result, your probation could have an effect on any future activity that requires you to present your transcript, like if youre transferring to a different college or applying to graduate school. Youll want to check with your school, but in many cases, the probation note will only show up on your transcript during your probation period. If you make it through probation without violating its terms, the note should be removed. However, if probation leads to suspension or expulsion, its likely to remain a permanent part of your transcript. Can I Get out of Probation? Though many people still dont know if Jim Morrison really died of a heart attack on July 3, 1971 because only one doctor and Pam actually saw his body there was no autopsy. Thomas Aquinas, the 13th-century Christian theologian, said that woman was "created to be man's helpmeet, but her unique role is in conception . . . since for other purposes men would be better assisted by other men." Macbeth by William Shakespeare is a play that portrays Macbeth, who is an ambitious character, being manipulated and motivated by female powers. Macbeth is initially depicted as a brave and capable warrior but his physical courage is joined by a consuming ambition- to become King of Scotland. It was his encounter with the witches, or otherwise referred to as the â€Å"weird sisters†, that motivated and inspired Macbeth to murder Duncan and therefore become the King of Scotland. However, it was mainly Lady Macbeth’s persuasion that had influenced Macbeth to perform his actions which had lead onto other regretful actions including the murder of Banquo and MacDuff’s family. It was the witches who were accountable for Macbeth’s tragic downfall as their apparitions did not only confuse Macbeth but had caused him to misinterpret his future as predicted by the witches. Lady Macbeth and the witches were responsible, to a great extent, for Macbeth’s actions. During the first Act of the play, Macbeth and Banquo, who were returning victorious from battle, encounter three witches who greeted Macbeth as the â€Å"Thane of Glamis†, â€Å"Thane of Cawdor† and â€Å"Macbeth, that shalt be King hereafter† (Act I Scene III line 49). It is evident that Macbeth had thought of becoming King prior to meeting the witches, but it was their greetings that had reinforced his thoughts and ambition. Banquo was quick to reassure Macbeth that â€Å"The instruments of Darkness tell us truths; win us with honest trifles, to betray’s in deepest consequence† but Macbeth was able to learn some truth from the prophecies as he was later greeted by Ross and Angus claiming that he had become the Thane of Cawdor- just like the witches had prophesised. It was at this point where Macbeth felt excited and the truthful prophecies had bought him joy yet inner turmoil. The terrible weather when he meets the witches reflects corruption in moral and political order and is a sign of foreshadowing used to indicate that Macbeth’s knowledge about his future could possibly cause his downfall. Therefore, it was the witches’ prophecies that had motivated Macbeth and had got him thinking about becoming King which involved the murder of Duncan. Lady Macbeth without doubt was the most powerful influence on Macbeth not only because she’s his husband but also because her ambition for power is  greater than Macbeth’s desires to become King. This is shown by introducing Lady Macbeth immediately planning Duncan’s death in her soliloquy by preparing to give Macbeth all her persuasive support. â€Å"All that impedes thee from the golden round, which fate and metaphysical aid doth seem to have thee crowned withal† (Act I Scene V lines 27-30). When Duncan had arrived Macbeth felt apprehensive and reluctant to kill Duncan as he feels that he had a moral obligation to serve to Duncan and that he had been a good friend to him. At this point, Lady Macbeth was able to persuade Macbeth by questioning his manhood and also implying that Macbeth was a coward for planning to withdraw from the murder. â€Å"And live a coward in thine own esteem, letting ‘I dare not’ wait upon ‘I would’, like the poor cat i’the adage?† (Act I Scene VII lines 43-45). Here Lady Macbeth is referring to a proverb in which a cat wanted to catch fish but didn’t want to get its feet wet. It is effective and persuasive because Lady Macbeth is suggesting that Macbeth won’t be able to have self-respect if he doesn’t commit the murder. Lady Macbeth makes a bizarre appeal to the spirits to make her less effeminate and more masculine and courageous. She demands for supernatural help, which links her to the witches at the beginning of the play, by demanding to vindicate her conscience of any evils that she may commit. An example of this is in her appeal to the spirits: â€Å"Come, you spirits that tend on moral thoughts, unsex me here, and fill me from the crown to the toe top-full of direst cruelty. Make thick my blood.† (Act I Scene V lines 38-41) It was Lady Macbeth’s persuasion that influenced Macbeth into murdering Duncan and this implies that women can be as cruel and ambitious as men but social constraints and natural order deny them of carrying out their own ambitions. During the course of the play, Macbeth became acquainted to the witches as he demanded that they tell his future. The apparitions shown to Macbeth caused great confusion as he had misinterpreted them by taking its meaning literally. The first apparition which had warned Macbeth of MacDuff was contradicted by the second apparition which told Macbeth to â€Å"Be bloody, bold, and resolute; laugh to scorn, the power of man; for none of woman born shall harm Macbeth† (Act IV Scene I lines 78-80). Macbeth had immediately  thought himself as being invincible since everyman was woman born. However, little did he know that MacDuff was born from the Caesarian section which eventually proved to be a fatal mistake. The witches and Lady Macbeth played a major role in the play by influencing and motivating Macbeth into initially murdering Duncan, and then believing that he was invincible from anyone. The witches’ prophecies had given inspiration and had exercised Macbeth’s thoughts of becoming King whilst Lady Macbeth’s evil nature had persuaded Macbeth by playing on his emotions and questioning his man hood. Therefore, it was to a great extent that Macbeth’s actions were caused by the manipulation of female powers.
